Pros

Pros to working for Halliburton, is their safety record. They preach safety everyday. They will also provide you with all the PPE that you need to do your job.

Cons

This company's starting pay is about the same as a fry cook at McDonalds. Not kidding. When things are this bad all the bonuses and day rates are stripped and you are left with a less than desired hourly rate that kids get coming out of high school with no education. Really is pathetic what they expect a grown man to live on.

Pros

Carrying the Halliburton badge is definitely a notch on the belt. Halliburton employees are regarded as very employable, just having worked for them. They set the industry standard for compliance.

Cons

Fragile industry, but anybody who has lived since the 80's should know that. Pay grade is much lower than the rest of the industry. However, consider yourself hired if you wish to go anywhere else. Lifestyle isn't so great, unless you're single with no family or have an understanding family. There's a mixture of all family structures working at Halliburton.
