Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive. North belt campus is pleasant and modern: child care, employee gym, peaceful landscaping, nice cafeteria. Free coffee and espresso in every break room, and a TV tuned to Fox News.

Cons

Management is authoritative with a distinct hierarchy structure. Research workforce is green, lots of PhDs and very few people with energy services experience. Project teams appear directionless with organizational factions arguing over responsibilities and project direction. Safety culture is extremely restrictive to getting any work done, and decisions almost seem arbitrary. administrative and career tasks detract from project work. People do not return phone calls and generally do not share your urgency in performing tasks.
