Pros

Security, good benefits, good safety culture

Cons

Mediocre pay, can't be innovative, must follow a lot of rules even if they don't make sense. Easy to be just a number. If you don't "fit in" then there can be problems. Difficult to get things done due to politics.

Pros

Benefits are the only motivation.

Cons

After hire, employees are told to supply own tools and material to do job as expected. Customers hand out bonus checks to Halliburton but Halliburton does not give to employees that earn them, employees get threaten for asking about it. They are very slow on expense reimbursement(2 to 3 months).
