Pros

The pay is good with per diem etc. and benefits package Excellent training if you can make it through their military regimen

Cons

Pay does not reflect long hours nor competency they squeeze anything and everything out of you... You will never have quality nor a work life balance as long as you work here... They own your life when your there. You can never give enough. The first couple of months you think its attitude..., but you begin to realize your a pon. A means for them to make more money. In fact in training I was told they hire engineers so field mistakes could be solved by laying blame. Their is no need for engineers out their. Everything can be accomplished form base and in some locations it has been tested... They say you have rotation of days off lol... they will call you in...trust me... They preach one thing about safety and do another... They show they don't care...

Pros

The people are great. I was there for 15 years and loved it until the return to work mandate.

Cons

For global company, one would think they would allow someone who manages a global team and was responsible for a 24/7 hotline to work flexible hours. When they mandated a return to work, I was informed that I had to work core hours in the office from 8-4 Monday through Friday. This would be fine for someone who just works during the day. As a global manager, in order to do my job, I worked on average 3 hours after core working orders as well as weekends. How else can you provide superior customer service across the globe. I offered to work everyday from 8-1 and then the afternoon and evenings I would do the rest of my work from home and they refused. Upper management was completely unreasonable which is why I immediately severed service.

Pros

* Campus is nice * Pay isn't terrible, though lower than other O&G as a whole * Decent career

Cons

* Lack tangible of overall strategy * Too outwardly focused to investors instead of inwardly focusing on what's best for employees and the long term health of the company * Cuts to support functions over the years leads to big handicaps in reporting capabilities, data analysis, and just getting day-to-day things done * Campus location is terrible to access from most places in the city * Many perks and rewards taken away through the years * Far less than ideal company culture...too many politics means good ideas drown before anyone pays attention * Managements blind-eye to anything remotely innovative from a work standpoint...no 9/80's, no work from home policy, "bed checks"
