Pros

Big red has amazing benefits You definitely get first-hand experience with many different people, equipment and locations. When they do do training, it's actually very helpful

Cons

The drop-out rate is very high Drilling isn't for everyone Some bosses really like to abuse their people Salary is subject to market conditions and management whims

Pros

Minimal accountability by the "experts" upstairs.

Cons

No raises. And if one does happen, it will be 12 months minimum before any other raise discussion. So, watch out for promotion raises that eliminate eligibility for annual raises.
