Originally it was a family owned business. Everyone was friendly and worked as a team to get things done. Most employees were there 10+ years. So everyone was pretty familiar and treated each other like family for the most part. You can be promoted once you show the initiative to learn or do more. Was always known for great customer service to our clients. Great benefits and profit sharing.
Cons
Bought out by a large company that really is not for the employees. Was given double the work with no pay raise. Was also given a pay cut and no raise in the last 7 years. No longer a friendly environment.
- Freedom to grow. You can start on the bottom and one day end up leading Hallmark.
- Management is very considerate of personal life
- Ability to learn and try anything you can as long as you make sure required work is done
- Location was recently renovated and it feels great; new hardware, furniture, meeting areas (and available to all employees, not just management)
Cons
Small company, therefore you might be the only expert in a specific field (better know your stuff!)
