The Hamilton College French Department offered much flexibility to teaching assistants in formatting their teaching sessions and allowed assistants to be creative in how they presented materials to students.

Cons

Teaching assistants were sometimes left with little direction for conducting lessons. Students sometimes arrived at the teaching session unaware of what topics would be covered that week or how to prepare for drills.
