Pros

Laid back and easy going atmosphere. Working with guests can be a lot of fun when you have regulars who you get to know.

Cons

Poor pay, no opportunity for advancement, or even raises/bonuses other than a quarter once a year, which you have to demand to get. They don't make it easy. My hotel didn't even have a desk supervisor position, so there really was no room for upward movement.

Pros

Discounted hotel rooms. This was really the only pro that I experienced. Flexibility to some extent with scheduling but not always. This is the only good thing.

Cons

I experienced Horrible management, no teamwork, there was always a battle between all the different departments. Management talked about upper management. Managers not being private when confronting employees. No positive feedback.

Time flies by, good friendly coworkers, calm relaxing atmosphere.

Cons

Takes a while getting everything put away after your shift ends since so few people work in the breakfast area at the same time.
