Pros

Good people that tend to stay for a long time.

Cons

Man dominated industry with limited opportunities for advancement. Some of the management need to work to engage employees and keep them motivated. Lots of clicks within certain departments not allowing for new employees to feel valued and part of the culture. Great place to stay if you plan on staying in the same role.

Pros

As an educated, female professional, I require that I am heard, that I am considered, that I am respected, and that I am valued by my employers. I found all of this at Hampton. I have been working here for almost a decade and haven’t looked back. - I feel empowered working here based on the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities that are offered here. - My voice is heard. I feel comfortable sharing opinions and suggestions. - I feel comfortable telling management when I need more help. - I feel supported as a working mom. - Hampton is a big enough company where there is a lot of opportunities for growth, but not too big where it would be considered “Corporate America.” There is not a ton of bureaucracy and changes can happen quickly, in a good way. - The cultural environment is very, very friend. If you were to walk down the hallway, you would hear conversations about the family, weekend, vacations, sporting events, food, running goals, etc. - Thanks to continuous improvement, our company is always changing or coming up with new opportunities to make the company more safe, efficient and profitable. It provides confidence that our company will be around for a very long time.

Cons

A few years back, we implemented a new ERP and accounting system, which was stressful on many people within the company. People were more short and less helpful during that time. Individuals were having to change the way they did things. It wasn't the best environment, but management heard the complaints, realized that it stemmed from the implementation, and followed up with an office-wide training on how to get our communication and culture back on track, which I believe helped to significantly change the culture to be back on track. Since that time, the executive team has been more transparent and more reactive to when they hear issues going on.
