Pros

If you are a good worker you will be treated well as a person.

Cons

Salary doesn’t match the amount of work you have to do. In my experience there was no room for advancement. The day to day operations are outdated and it doesn’t look like any changes are being made to fix the issues. Hampton University felt like it operated on an, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentally… but it’s broken.

There are a lot of great people who want to do what's best for the University and the student.

Cons

The management/leadership is horrible. They refuse to listen to the staff that actually are doing the work and know what's going on. They are stuck in a paper-fueled process and doing everything manually.

The campus is a nice location

Cons

Everything is difficult, the university runs on a bureaucratic hierarchy and refuses to update systems. Everything is original form paperwork and nothing is electronic. Everything takes 5x longer than it should. Nothing is streamlined.
