      An exercise in patience.

      Pros

      There are great opportunities to learn and grow if you choose. You are rewarded for going above and beyond. You're also allowed a great amount of autonomy so you can make the position what you want it to be.

      Cons

      Unfortunately there is terrible pay, benefits and incentives, leading to high turnover. The university is very traditional and lacks the cutting edge appeal many younger people seek from an employer. It's definitely a patriarchal organization.

      Pros

      Hampton University is situated in a good location..its very peaceful and calm. The campus itself is a very family oriented environment.

      Cons

      I think the only downside is when a storm approaches campus. I think the administration hesitate on whether to open, close or delay classes.
