Strong onboarding experience overshadowed by poor training support
Pros
Excellent telephone experience and onboarding interview process. 2 great interviews to be exact. One with Texas home office HR and the second with the local area manager. I was super excited about the promised full training and an opportunity to buy in a franchise. I am 30-year tenured chef and restaurateur always looking for positive experiences.
Cons
What was supposed to be a training 2-week period didn't really work out so with the tenured lead/manager. The manager/lead had absolutely no interest in training me and made it verbally known also by direct actions towards myself along with the other new hire. Neither one of us continued with this operation. I have never experienced anything like this level of not caring or rude transgressions towards new employees. Very unnecessary and possibly harmful to people who rely on a paycheck for a living since an individual would have most likely have cancelled other job offers by accepting this offer with this company. Thoughtless and inconsiderate!
