Pros

The compensation and benefits are competitive for the industry. The company also has strong technical talent and an ambitious mission.

Cons

Work-life balance is non-existent. The company culture rewards constant availability rather than results, and boundaries are often ignored. The People Team (HR) is disorganized and ineffective — they deferred my start date by a week without notice, gave me no instructions about when to come in on my first day, and once I was already onboarded, emailed to ask if I had shown up while I was literally sitting at my desk. HR tends to side with executives rather than helping employees resolve legitimate issues, and there’s little accountability or follow-up. The new leadership in Sales and Marketing has created a totalitarian culture, promoting inexperienced managers who prioritize pleasing upper management over supporting their teams. Constructive feedback isn’t welcome, and servant leaders who try to collaborate or advocate for fairness are often pushed out.

Pros

Team of engineers is some of the strongest, most experienced folks in the business. Not getting distracted by shiny product lines, and has amazing customer interest. Benefits and perks are super generous. Most leaders here are striving to do the right thing for people as a whole.

Cons

Regular start up pains (nothing that is out of the ordinary). Communication could be much better from top down but they are working on it, and in my opinion there should be a level of ambiguity people have to be okay with in a start up. There are no guarantees when it comes to market timing and fundraising.

Good idea but poor management

Pros

Good product idea that doesn't have much competition

Cons

Everyone has to be onsite regardless of the role. Also general friction since Execs are new to running a business.
