Pros

I really enjoy working around tools, and it is fairly easy to meet people with interests in all fields. I think some of the items are awesome and own a fair amount of the product myself. I have learned so much about approaching people. If you like sales it could be a good stepping-stone. If you can sell ESPs and ITCs you can sell most anything.

Cons

The DM always comes in to critique the store but never reveals how to sell the memberships other than misleading customers. The inside track club lacks value. The coupons in the ITC are similar, or worse than, ones offered to all customers who sign up for free catalogs. Management is nice and understanding of personal life to a degree but are forced to work us several odd and long shifts to cover the lack of employees in the store overall. I work tirelessly to keep my sales up by memorizing monthly coupons of several catalogs to sell ITCs but they still push me to do more. I sell more than any other employee but still can't meet store quotas on my own. I also have a feeling of regret any time I'm forced to mislead a customer. I hate that the people I get to know every week are the same people I lie to just to make a paycheck. I love sales but think that some lines shouldn't be crossed.

Growing to fast.

Pros

Pay was relatively fair towards the end. Most of the customers were pretty friendly. Co workers were good as a rule.

Cons

Still not enough for the constant changes the company tried to implement. Several things rolled out with not enough testing. Management directly above store level seemed very narrow minded and not open to discussion. SOP is king unless they decide it's ok to break the rule per them. You, on the other hand would be written up.

Flexible hours, decent wage, not a whole lot cleaning

Cons

They force you to push stuff pretty heavy to customers and corporate will drop you like a sack of potatoes for any reason, without even talking to your managers about it.
