Pros

I love working at harbor freight, the things they sell are cool, great environment and co workers. Its the most complete job for starters and students because you learn customer service, ruining the register, and warehouse experience altogether. You can make extra money on the register also. The schedule is very flexible, a good thing for students.

Cons

I love my manager along with the co workers but darn $8 an hour for what we do is not worth it. At least $10-12.

Everyone Should Work Retail At Least Once In Their Lives

At least in my store, I became friends easily with everyone I worked with. Promotions are available if you put in enough hard work, which is what I experienced. This company is great at working around school hours, which is why I've stayed for so long. Most every day that one walks through the doors to clock in, they will be met with a different task. From cashiering and stocking shelves, to pricing and helping customers. You will learn how to perform excellent customer service, which I believe is crucial in any job pursued later in one's career. Everyone should work retail at least once in their life, not only to learn how to deal with difficult people, but also how to not be one.

Cons

The pay here is terrible for the amount of work being done. Look to other retailers if you're looking for higher pay. The raises are also insulting. This company is meant for those working their way through hectic school hours or bettering themselves personally.
