Pros
The pay is above minimum wage. There are unlimited commission opportunities. Our 1st line supervisors are very helpful. It's a fast paced environment, so the time flies by quickly. They offer paid time off.
Cons
The senior leadership doesn't really lead, and are often condescending when we ask questions. The mid-level managers are the most helpful to us, but they are so tasked out, that we try not to bug them too much. Employee turn-around is wickedly fast-- they are constantly taking in new hires. The few experienced employees that this store has carries nearly all of the weight, because there aren't enough experienced people there, and on the clock, to train all of the new hires. This is also the reason why mid-level supervisors are so tasked out, because there is way too much work to do, but not enough experienced people to get it all done-- so they often have to do majority of the work themselves. Employees are often asked to perform tasks outside of their job description, so it's not uncommon to be required to perform the workload of two or more people, but not receive extra pay for performing the additional duties. There seems to be no advancement opportunities. There are only part-time positions available. There is never enough hours to go around, so it would be stupid to not have a second job. It's rare to feel a sense of accomplishment, because the work is never done. We hear more complaints than appreciation for the work that we do perform, from the senior leadership.
