Pros

Strong Upper Management - Solid vision for the future. Quality of products continues to improve with more and more products now industry leaders in their category.

Cons

As with most retail, low hours for very hard working employees. Losing the tradition of "Ridiculously Low Prices" with continued price increases closer to the competition - just being lower is not "ridiculously" lower.

Pros

Not bad, as retail goes. Store hours are better than those at Home Depot or Lowes. Few problems with customers, due largely to good returns policy (as of 2012, not sure if it still holds).

Cons

Antiquated and unproductive processes - computer system is a joke, upper management at HQ seems clueless. Quality of merchandise is highly variable, although easy returns policy minimizes the problems this caused. Operations based on company's roots as a small operation, not viable for a real business.
