Pros
Your managers and coworkers start to feel like family. I worked in a small store and we'd only have 3-4 people working during the lunch and evening shift so this was especially true.
Cons
Managers tend to have favorites and they reward these people even though there may be others that deserve it more (hours, promotions, raises). They also turn a blind eye to things that people are doing wrong.
