Pros
You can volunteer to work events the company is involved in. The atmosphere is relatively relaxed and people are generally not uptight.
Cons
People are put in positions they are not qualified for but they got them only because they performed well in the interview or there was nowhere else to put them after a re-org. Directors have total control over this and it has appeared obvious favoratism is at play. Align closely with Directors to make your life easier. Cross them and you will be shown the door or at a minimum never move ahead in the company as long as they're there. Re-orgs are common and happen every 6 months - 2 years. It's difficult to get into a groove and really get proficient at your job. HR has a regular and inconsistent pattern of not following their own processes.
