Pros

Benefits are a plus and as long as your position is not grant funded it seems like a pretty stable employer

Cons

Government work, All of HCo has its fill of lazy government employees - was part of the reason I left. Many of the old timers should retire

Pros

Flexibility with family matters. Different departments are very willing to work together within Harris County. Benefits are very good. Current management are willing to review salary competitiveness.

Cons

Elevators are constantly in repair mode. Current buildings needs renovations and place to purchase quick breakfast/lunch items. Can be expensive to park within the court buildings.
