Worse work experience ever

Pros

It's a paycheck. Benefits are good.

Cons

I regret the day I accepted the job at Harris Health. I've worked here 7 months and not a day goes by that I don't hate it. It is without a doubt the worse place I've ever worked. From senior management to lower level Mgmt the unprofessionalism, disorganization and incompetence is mind blowing. My Mgr schedules 1 on 1 meeting with her employees but never shows up. Employees who don't want to do their jobs have had their work handed off to someone else. No one is held accountable for anything. Do not come to this company if you value work/life balance or flexible schedules. It's also not the place to be if you value having savvy technologies that will help you work more efficiently. They're still using MS Word 2003 for God's sake. I can't get the work done because I'm in meetings most of the day, most of them have nothing to do with me. A lot of the people who work there are mess makers and are not above doing things to make your fail. Do yourselves a favor and don't apply for a job here.

Pros

Good pay, benefits, work hours.

Cons

The place is full of incompetent people. The Executive leadership is not supportive of the employees. Nepotism, favoritism exist in all departments. It's all about who you know & not what you know.

Pros

Competitive compensation, Benefits package offered, and Cheaper parking Beware of raving reviews for Analyst roles, they are more than likely human resources / recruiting trying to entice new employees.

Cons

There is so much RED TAPE!!! - lots of processes and policies that hinder employees from working effectively and efficiently The IT department governs by policy, management is inconsiderate and will not be flexible if you ever need it One of worst places, if not the worst place, to work in the Medical Center NO work from home policy including emergent scenarios. For example, if there is inclement weather and you are unable to get to work, you will be using a PTO day - as an IT employee. However, you are expected to log-in and work after hours from home. That part is fine and encouraged. Management shows favoritism Criticism is not constructive - seems like the manager is constantly finding someone or something arbitrary to pick on Not a healthy environment for people who value work/life balance - There is none You will only be praised for working 60+ hours/week to accomplish things that would have been done more efficiently at other organizations. They certainly do not understand the phrase: "Work Smarter, not Harder" You will be evaluated by subjective standards if you have a terrible manager There is ZERO autonomy, and you will be treated like a child Overall, one of the worst experiences I've had as an analyst. Proceed at your own risk, and kiss all respect for your personal life goodbye!
