Pros

I’ve worked at Harris Health in the ER for a little over a year, and so far i love it. As with any job, it isn’t perfect, but i feel that the managers care and do their parts to make our unit a cohesive efficiently running unit. The patients can be a lot to handle at times, but overall I feel that our patient population appreciates all that we do for them and most times that is shown. Also the starting pay compared to most other hospitals is much better, but like 5-6 dollars. I was actually surprised to find out how much they pay their nurse residents, then the pay increase after finishing residency is pretty nice!

Cons

The patients can be a con. Some patients come in with the intent to make the nurses’ lives hell, or so it seems.
