Pros

Home shopping was a good job to have. If you're a people person who enjoys going out of their way for the customer, it's perfect for you. It does entail stress (it can be very stressful at times) and there isn't much you can do in order to prepare yourself for the job unless you've done something similar. What you can prepare for is being on your feet a majority of your shift, so wear supportive footwear and make sure you eat! My team at my store was usually very supportive and helpful, so it made the job that much better. Being a produce clerk wasn't difficult. Be prepared for being on your feet for the majority of your shift. Depending on who your manager is and who the rest of the staff is in your department will determine the kind of experience you will have.

Cons

Home shopping during busy times will not always be staffed appropriately, so be prepared to do a lot of work. It can be unnecessarily stressful at times, but the best advice I can give is to put your best foot forward or choose a job that is less intense. You are not a failure if you choose a different position that suits you better. Just remember that when someone is having a bad day and they are stressed, don't take it personally. If you need to talk to someone about their behavior, go to management immediately and express your concerns. I had to do this and there is no shame in it. It will also help that other person out and will prevent an incident. Produce clerk. Depending on your department manager and who you work with will determine the kind of day you will have.
