Corporate Check Box, 1-2month + on rehiring help at low pay, No retention
Pros
1. Some of the Pharmacy Operations People are amazing people and very easy to work with. 2. Pays the bills
Cons
1. Takes 1-2 months to rehire help when someone quits. That means if salaried you are expected to make up the slack. 2. Pay technicians lowest of all competitors. Tries to start them at 13-14/per hour full time / less part time (this as of 9/2022, almost impossible in the pharmacy to get a straight answer out of a store manager on what you can actually offer to meet the demand). Easier way to get increased pay for technicians is to have them apply 1st for Starbucks at locations that use mobile app (which contract requires them to have guaranteed workers translating into paying them more) which can most time due to high turnover start them at 15-16 per hour. Then transfer them into pharmacy which can put them at higher wage than even your veteran *certified techs that have been there for 2+ years. 3. No transparency of wages due to manipulation of what was mentioned above. Tends to upset loyal employees not following this route which adds to less retention and constant retraining. It was said that wages were reviewed and updated to reflect these new hiring rates which is a complete an utter lie. 4. Performance reviews are used to check a corporate box. Mediocre Pharmacists vs ones who stay late giving more of themselves free of charge to better the work environment for themselves and patients will meet expectations. Even if you rank high in company overall department through metrics (vaccines/waste/contribution/etc.), you will get a yearly raise based on the location you live in and not performance of your work. It will be the same raise they have allocated to all pharmacists in your region again not based on merit.
