Pros

money is literally the only reason why I worked here.

Cons

pay is every 2 weeks. That is very hard for someone that is barely getting by

Pros

Undoubtedly the customer comes first and if you need experience with customer service then this is the place to go. For the most part the management is friendly The store is clean Safety is an integral part of the culture There is an attempt by management to communicate some of the more important values of the company through a monthly video

Cons

Pay is below the national average. Getting on full time is next to if not outright impossible Expectations tend to be unreasonable for the amount of people on staff Career advancement for older employees is a myth Workers seem to be taken for granted and are seldom if ever praised for going above and beyond expectations. Floor managers are as overworked if not more so than the people that they supervise Requirements for the job, ranging from everything from sale items to disposable gloves and even room to work in, are often in short supply.

Pros

Discount on Harris Teeter products, able to switch shifts easily, managers are easy to work with, tasks are easy to handle

Cons

You only know your schedule week by week, so it's hard to schedule a social life around your work schedule because you don't know when you're scheduled off. And when you try to schedule off a day in advance, it has to be 13 days in advance within the Red prairie system they use.
