Pros

The store I work at has a very relaxed environment, friendly staff that I can call my friends and almost like family. All wonderful people, except for one crazy annoying guy. Decent start pay for high schoolers and college kids with half year bonuses depending on how well your store does over all which is pretty cool.

Cons

Seems a bit hard to progress up the ladder, seems like it's more about who you know as well as work preformance. So for hard working introverts, it will be hard.

Pros

Due to the fact that an hourly employee cannot work > 28 hours/week, I have more than enough time off. This job is the ONLY job I have and for that I am grateful- at least it's a job on paper.

Cons

Management are puppets. They do what they are told, when they are told, and how they are told to do by corporate. The staffing is woefully inadequate on most days... no baggers except on weekends, cashiers are expected to bag for one another, and when a customer walks up to check out, the cashier who's bagging for the other cashier has leave that customer to check out the customer who just walked up. It is not unusual to have to page overhead for help from other depts. to help at the front end thus leaving their customers... Cashiers are expected to retrieve carts from the parking lot, do floor sweeps, and cleaning chores. If they would hire the "youngins" 16,17 yr olds as baggers, they could be doing these chores when they aren't bagging and doing take-outs
