Pros

Fulfilling customer's creative wishes, seeing happy customers, being appreciated by customers and co-workers, introducing customers to new ideas and learning new things.

Cons

Having to do the job of everyone in the Deli plus your own job, having an ever changing schedule, very low pay.

Pros

You are given 2 bonus checks a year and both part time and full time employees are offered some type of insurance.

Cons

I have been with this company for 4 years, going on 5, and have realized how difficult it really is to move up in this company. I have worked so hard at my job, worked extremely hard to get into customer service, trained people for customer service, put in long hours on the front end, asked several times to be shown things in accounting and to even become full time. I am told that because I do not have open availability I am not allowed to be full time, which is really strange because Harris Teeter will still work you right at full time hours. Then when they realize what you have averaged in hours, they will take all of your hours away. I have now found a second job and have to keep Harris Teeter until I am able to find something to replace it. When I told the store manager about getting a second job his response was that I "should think about getting out of Harris Teeter all together anyways since my Husband works there too and we probably gripe about work all the time". Not to mention the comments that have been made about me "messing up his bonus check by $1,000's because of the hours that I am working" even though I am working my schedule. This is my 3rd store manager in this store and I have NEVER heard comments like this from any management.

Pros

We get paid is weekly. ........... . . . .

Cons

Pay is extremely low For 8 hours I dont even make $100 before taxes. Customer service manager Curtis is a control freak or on a serious power trip One of my coworkers has asthma and he told her she could not keep her emergency medicine with her. It also gets very hot in the summer and the break room is upstairs where there is no air conditioning We have to work under lamps that get really hot. That plus no ac and being told we cant have water at our station is pretty ridiculous. If curtis is there and it is busy you will not get to leave on time ever he doesnt care System is not efficient and really old. They make u work on call instead just scheduling enough people so u cant plan anything that day I am only here because I really need a job. But I have no intention of staying here. The management needs some serious training on how to treat employees. They only care about customers. There are more cons but im tired of typing
