Pros

Good benefits and work life balance

Cons

95%+ employees are white. Extremely racist executive leadership in software engineering. Old white Irish mob culture. Color of your skin and gender determines your growth in software engineering. The company is advertising itself as a black equity employer whereas there are no black employees. Stay away if you are not white and Irish.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a positive experience during your tenure. We cannot disagree that the organization is not as diverse as it should or needs to be. That said, we are fully committed to increasing racial diversity and equitable representation, as well as a fully inclusive culture. We are taking significant action to make change. And while dramatic change will not occur overnight, we are making process and are seeing an impact.

Pros

My first 90 days at Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) has been a fabulous experience so far. HBP is invested in its mission, and in ensuring its people are provided with the tools, processes, and training to carry out the work that helps our clients lead their own companies well. My onboarding plan -- both at a corporate and function level -- has been well organized, thorough, and effective. In addition, efforts are made across the organization to ensure all employees feel connected to the HBP community; the new CRHO is partnering with leadership to address some past issues and progress is apparent in the short time I've been here; and HBP is investing heavily in diversity, equity, and inclusion from a variety of angles.

Cons

My part of the organization feels a bit siloed at times but I think this is a cultural product of a previous structure. I believe efforts are being made to shift this.
