Pros

Depending on the group, you get to work with very smart people. Work/life balance is good. Benefits are good. Operates like a for-profit in the non-profit space. Access to Harvard University resources and backing. Good brand to work with and have on your resume.

Cons

Very little career advancement; people tend to stay in roles for exceptionally long periods of time. Extremely political environment. Lots of constant change. Pay is not the best - depends on the hiring manager, but tries to get away with "non-profit" status.
