Pros

It's an exciting environment, the students are excited to learn for the most part. When you're not in the busiest parts of the semester, you have a lot of flexibility with how you spend your time. You aren't required to work from your office; you can work from home and just show up to teach.

Cons

Little to no professional development once you're hired. Great colleagues, but there's no chance to interact with them. Students can be grade-grubbers and complain about anything less than an A. In my experience, more responsibilities were added to the job every year, with no increase in pay besides the bare minimum annual raise everyone gets. Little to no effort will be made to retain you, or to get to know you as a person. Little opportunity for growth--you're there to do the job and then move on to something better once your time is up.
