Pros

Harvard is highly prestigious and as such would make a great addition to your CV. It is also a very good place to make a lot of good connections, if you play it right.

Cons

Probably the worst university I've been to, by far. All the PIs are used to get talented and bright people to work in their groups because Harvard's reputation is a good magnet for such, however as a result the PI don't know how to guide you. In fact, they don't really feel responsible or care for you, so if you don't like it or don't get the results they want, there are many others out there waiting to replace you.

Pros

Harvard is a large institution, so, if you want to, you can move within the institution. Benefits are good. Colleagues are bright and engaged.

Cons

As with any place, your own individual manager can be great or difficult.
