Pros

Rich school. Many seminars/workshops with great scholars. Lots of lunch seminars - you may not pay often for lunch!

Cons

Great scholars nearby - you might be overwhelmed easily. Some bureaucracy - took a month to get a ID card! Benefits are different per faculty/staff/postdoc/temporary. Parking is horrible.

Pros

Harvard is a fascinating place to work. There are many different positions and occupations within the University, so no doubt this varies considerably.

Cons

The campus union is currently in ongoing contract negotiations, and Harvard is refusing to agree to a fair deal. In the past labor relations practices have been good; I hope this is not a sign of things to come.
