      Great benefits - vacation, flexible work schedule Staff passionate about education Lots of opportunities for professional development at the Center for Workplace Development

      Not very strategy oriented There is a lot of red tape to make decisions sometimes or make changes to the processes and practice

      Pros

      I worked as a grader for a class at Harvard Extension School. The pro's are good pay, flexible hours, and grading is pretty easy.

      Cons

      Grading the exams required being present during them and then meeting up afterward to grade them. It is sometimes hard to coordinate with other graders' schedules.

      Pros

      As HR would say themselves, "It's Harvard!" It's always good to have an ivy league on your resume, I suppose.

      Cons

      Salary wasn't comparable to similar positions at other schools. Although Harvard claims to be family and working-mom friendly, HMS, in particular wasn't at all. No flex time, no work from home - you're expected to be there 9-5, 5 days per week. Low morale.
