Gone downhill

Pros

Can be a good place for experience in a white table cloth restaurant setting learning how to resolve customer complaints, wines, and describing specials

Cons

Cult like management and owner. Family business that gives a bad name to family businesses. PPP loans must've been a nice bonus because they were not given to the hardworking staff. Staff orientation makes you feel a part of a good team with ethics but the behavior of management (higher & lower) makes you realize that is not the case

Pros

Decent knowledge for brain dead employees who have never worked a service job before.

Cons

This company will exploit it's employee's good nature by placing them in several different positions in order to maximize their hours and avoid paying overtime. This company will also lie and cheat you into believing that you're going to make more money while cutting down on labor cost to benefit themselves and increasing the workload for service employees who barely benefit from a pay increase. They will hire zombies who can't do much while relying heavily on their experienced staff and likely fire them for complaining about handling most of the work load. This company likes to claim that they're family based, but fire employees for having family obligations that conflict with their schedules. Do not work for them unless you are a desperate idiot.

Excellent place to be a server

Pros

Steady income (not many slow nights) Amazing food Very minimal late nights, usually out by 10p on weeknights, 11p on weekends Experienced staff that is always helpful Tips are shared, so no "bad" sections... every position makes the same tips Excellent opportunity to be promoted from backwaiter (bus-boy) to midwaiter to captain

Cons

Tips are shared (both pro and con at times), so the opportunity for nights with extremely high tips are limited On your feet entire shift (same as every restaurant) Managers are shuffled throughout the different restaurants in the company, so not a ton of consistency The "dead weight" makes the same $ as the hard workers because of the tip share system
