Pros

Relaxed environment with above average opportunities to travel. Great health benefits and very competitive company pension plan (employee contributes 7%, Hatch contributes 6%). Good opportunities to grow a career.

Cons

The path to share ownership is not a transparent process. Appears to be very subjective based more upon who you know, as opposed to what you know. Hatch tends to pay less than the competitors in this sector, but this may be due to the private ownership structure. Keeping billable is important to avoid getting onto the indirect list - basically standard practice at most consultancy firms. Internal documentation is a disaster. Definitely a glass ceiling for designers compared to engineers.
