Pros

Nothing compared to the bottom line engineering firms.

Cons

Toxic workplace, bullying, harassment, racial slurs are said by some of the associates because they believe they are above the rules (which is true based on this toxic place structure)

Pros

Employee shareholder owned, with a strong company culture. Very flat organizational structure. Top of the class engineers doing the work, and run by engineers with business sense, who understand changing work processes are necessary to remain strong. Company has patents for it's innovative designs!

Cons

Company ownership (shares) are by invite only, and criteria to become a shareholder is subjective, add highly dependent on your managers networking skills. Potential candidates for employment should join the company for the immediate compensation and great career development, and not future share potential.

Pros

Very good people to work with. Have learnt a lot over the years. Flexible timings, nice work environment, good offices. Excellent opportunities to see the world, if you like to be on the move and have no ties or family commitments.

Cons

Used to be a great company. However, presently, quite unstable with lack of work in most sectors. Major downsizing and restructuring in progress. The entire Hatch brand is changing. Biggest issue in my opinion - company expects Engineers to be ready to travel at the drop of a hat. There is no guarantee that you will have local work in your home town. At any given time, if you run out of chargeable work, there is always fear and jitters that you will be re-assigned to a project in another Hatch office, or another country, or remote project site, and you are expected to drop everything, pack up and head there in a week or less. And most of the time, the assignments are long term, six months or up to two years or more. Extremely disruptive, not good for young family, or one looking for long term stability and trying to settle down in one place. Incentives and pay uplifts for out of office assignments also quite mediocre.
