For my position, it has been very independent and relaxed with an above average work-life balance due to consistent schedule on Mon-Fri. The Display team is actively moving forward and finding ways to improve the face of Havertys, it can be a fun position to be in.

Cons

The pay is too low for those outside of sales position, the gossip culture among peers and low tolerance of newer team members compared to seasoned team members, archaic methods of communication (limited to email, phone; a lot of room for growth and would love to see Havertys expand in using innovative software, Apps for Team Engagement, using psychological principles to support the well being of the Team members and limit detrimental interactions such as gossip, micro-management from peers etc). Somewhat outdated systems, employee web system/product search engines, and Havertys' website needs improvement.
