Before joining the group, I had thought that it was normal that bad managers might exist in a company more or less. However, I hadn't expected that a manager could be so horrible as mine, who's totally a drama person making up a lot of fake scenerios/stories to attack anyone she/he disliked. Below are some summaries. They may not be complete, but I just wanted to offer some ideas how terrible this "particular" manager was:
-Nano-management. i.e., she/he checked instantly what time you went to the restroom, and what time you returned to the lab.
-Darked-hearted. Her/his weird brain often converted friendly comments/suggestions to bad ones. Eventually, those working with her/him tended to remain silent in front of her/him, as speaking with her/him finally became a torture to everyone.
-Super un-professional, often hidden in her/his office to play games. Bad-mouthed, even interfered group members' personal life. i.e. she/he disliked the way a group member spent his own money, then she/he would tried to find faults with this group member. What the hell? What on earth did someone else' money have anything to do with her/him?
-A liar, true liar! Enjoyed faking all kinds of stories to attack anyone she/he disliked. Everyone in the group, of course except for herself/himself, even people outside the group, had been framed by her/him multiple times.

A truly ugly ugly person. You might wonder if I talked to HR about the manager's misconducts. Unfortunately, HR was useless.......
However, if you have decided to join Headway, I do wish you best luck that your manager won't the same one as mine at Headway.
