Pros

The company culture of Health Catalyst is such that positive reinforcement, transparency, and team-based collaboration is emphasized on a daily basis. As an intern I interacted with a variety of different team members throughout the company who were always willing and able to teach me something new, or let me collaborate/work with them on a project. I learned a lot during my time at Health Catalyst, and appreciate all of the opportunities afforded to me during my time there.

Cons

Those all team-member meetings... valuable, insightful, and appreciated as they are, can sometimes drag on a bit too long! (Very few downsides)

Yep... they can sometimes be long, but we feel they are necessary when you balance the amount of information we believe we should share against the frequency and length of the meeting itself. We are continually looking for ways to improve the information flow within Health Catalyst (which, by the way, is also in flux as we continue to grow as an organization and our communication needs change with that growth). Thanks for your thoughts!

Pros

I have seen a lot of change as HealthCatalyst has grown over the past 4 years. The mission to transform healthcare has remained the driving force of the entire company: executives, department leaders, team leads, and individual contributors. I feel the drive to contribute to that daily and it is so rewarding to see the customers I work with having success improving their business to enable better care and saving patient lives. I worried that the great culture of innovation, humility, and balance would decline as rapid growth occurred. But is has remained fully intact. A year ago, I was concerned that wage adjustments seemed hap-hazard, but a recent policy was put in place with annual, very generous wage increases, not tied to promotions. If I am enjoying and excelling in my current role, it now feels like I could remain long-term. I can stay in the technical space and not have to jump into management roles purely to increase my salary. I am excited for the future of HealthCatalyst, the vision of the executives here, and for my own career.

Cons

I have been involved in a few internal improvement projects that either fizzled out or that were taken over by other team members due to miscommunication around what was being done and by whom. I appreciate that we are drinking our own KoolAid by trying to create a culture of improvement, but I wish it was better organized and that the "squeaky wheels" (louder, more opinionated people) didn't have so much power to override legitimate improvement process results.

There will always be things to improve, as long as we are always collectively willing to try, I don't think I'll ever want to leave either! Thanks for all you do!

Pros

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This place has been amazing since day one. I am an out of state remote team member, and am pleasantly surprised at how they treat their team members, also called owners, whether local to Salt Lake City or not. On day one you are awarded vesting shares of the company, putting you directly in an ownership role. You are put through an extensive on-boarding process where you meet with an executive team member who explains the history, vision and culture of the company, in a small, personal setting with other recent new hires. They really do care about each and every one of us, and always try to do the best thing for the team member and the company when personal situations come up. The benefits are only rivaled by Silicon Valley giants, and not by much! They pay quite well and are always willing to give merit increases and promotions based on hard work and dedication. Their mission and purpose have true value to society, and who doesn't want to be a part of making history! If you're looking for a change of pace from normal corporate America, why don't you give Health Catalyst a long hard look, You won't regret it!

Cons

There are no cons that I have experienced in over 18 months of employment.
