      Pros

      amazing culture; a place where every employee is valued (and thanked) for his i.e. Her contributions. After a week of orientation, I am convinced that Health Catalyst is a very unique company - feel very lucky to be hired. And, I'm "seasoned" and I feel very welcomed in an environment where there are many young "Millennials" with expert side in data warehousing.

      Cons

      On boarding as a remote worker has been a bit challenging with many online trainings and not much time to master apps and company processes.

      A positive and team-driven learning environment

      Pros

      The company culture of Health Catalyst is such that positive reinforcement, transparency, and team-based collaboration is emphasized on a daily basis. As an intern I interacted with a variety of different team members throughout the company who were always willing and able to teach me something new, or let me collaborate/work with them on a project. I learned a lot during my time at Health Catalyst, and appreciate all of the opportunities afforded to me during my time there.

      Cons

      Those all team-member meetings... valuable, insightful, and appreciated as they are, can sometimes drag on a bit too long! (Very few downsides)

      Yep... they can sometimes be long, but we feel they are necessary when you balance the amount of information we believe we should share against the frequency and length of the meeting itself. We are continually looking for ways to improve the information flow within Health Catalyst (which, by the way, is also in flux as we continue to grow as an organization and our communication needs change with that growth).       Pros

      This is an amazing company! I love my work and my coworkers, and the benefits are pretty incredible.They place a great value on employee satisfaction and happiness in their work.

      Cons

      One of their Operating Principals is that of TRANSPARENCY; that all employees are privy to organizational strategies and information. This is all pretty great - in practice - EXCEPT in the area of position compensation and raises. They communicate openly and frequently about making sure we (employees) are paid “above the median” for our positions - in addition to promising an automatic yearly raise of 5%. In my experience, however, nothing has changed since our company was acquired by Health Catalyst a year and a half ago. Aside from the fact that I was due a yearly increase at the time of the acquisition, my then current position compensation was not reevaluated to the “above median range”, and I have not received an “automatic 5% wage increase”. Additionally, although I have been promoted since I started here, there has not been a discussion of the re-evaluation of my new current job title and compensation to the promised "above median" ranges. I feel like I am going backwards on my pay scale since joining this company.

      Thank you for your thoughts, and we agree that tweaking our compensation messaging and the mechanics of the rollout needs some improving. We are working hard on this, and you will see improvements in this area in short order.
