Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your years of dedicated service. I’m truly grateful for the time, energy, and heart you’ve brought to our work and our mission. It’s encouraging to know that you’ve experienced meaningful support from leadership—particularly in areas such as transparency, accessibility, and flexibility. At the same time, I would like to acknowledge the concerns you raised regarding organizational direction, alignment, and growth. These are critical areas of focus, and your perspective is both valued and heard. Leadership remains committed to providing greater clarity and consistency across the organization, and I hope you’ll join us at the upcoming All Team Member meeting. I’ll be sharing more about our goals for the coming period, including the stretch goals we’ve set that reflect feedback from team members and other key stakeholders. We want every team member to feel connected to where we are now and to where we’re going—and to see how your feedback shapes that journey. We’ll also be providing an update on benefits and related planning as part of our long-term strategy. These conversations are ongoing, and your input is helping to guide our path forward. If you’d be open to a conversation, I’d welcome the chance to connect one-on-one. Thank you again for your honesty and for the impact you continue to make. -Dan B.

Pros

They pay employees well They never cut the employees pay They offer school tuition reimbursement up to a set amount They provided a severance if you worked a set amount of years when laid off.

Cons

Always worried about whether you would have a job every year. No warning when I was laid off. I was told Monday that Friday was my last day. Missed out on a sabbatical which was supposedly going to be allowed this year.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for the many years you dedicated to Health Catalyst. I’m sincerely grateful for the contributions you made during your tenure. I’m encouraged to hear that aspects of your experience, such as our compensation practices, tuition reimbursement, and severance support, were meaningful to you. At the same time, I want to directly address the concerns you raised, especially around job security and the timing of your departure. I know that receiving news about your role ending on short notice was incredibly difficult, and I want to sincerely acknowledge the weight of that experience. While the decision was part of broader annual planning process, which occurs each January, I’m truly sorry for the impact it had on you. Please know that my support doesn’t end with your time at the company. I remain committed to helping wherever I can—whether that’s opening up my network or personally advocating on your behalf. If you haven’t already secured your next opportunity, I’d be more than happy to provide a reference or speak directly with hiring managers. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly—I’d be glad to help however I can. Wishing you all the best as you move forward. -Dan Burton

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad to hear that merit increases, and our PTO policy were positive experiences for you. We strive to offer competitive and equitable benefits that support our team members’ well-being and work-life balance. I also understand your concern regarding merit increases. While our goal is to ensure consistency and fairness in compensation, we recognize the importance of rewarding high performance. As has been the case at Health Catalyst, our team members who perform at the highest levels often qualify for promotions more quickly, and those promotions often include meaningful base salary increases. In addition, team members who exhibit extraordinary individual performance will continue to be eligible for spot bonuses and RSUs granted in recognition of this exceptional performance. Feedback like yours is valuable as we continue to assess and refine our approach. Thank you for your contributions to Health Catalyst while you were here, and I wish you continued success! Best, Dan Burton
