Dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where one can grow
Pros
I work at Health Genesis and can tell most of the reviews are from people that are no longer here (thereby, disgruntled employees). Most of those who had to leave since 2016 were not pulling their weight, and since they've been replaced with qualified talent, the workplace for the rest of us has improved significantly. Health Genesis has dynamic environment where the owners are willing to teach people the ropes. It's a small team, and it's an exciting place to work because there is so much to learn. The owners treat employees like family and really try to understand us. There's no "personal drama" like one reviewer mentioned, at least I haven't seen it. And the CEO hasn't been pushing his religion on others, either. In fact, I like that the owners have strong ethics based on their religion. I feel they can be trusted because they are not playing games. If there were any "favorites", it must have been in the past because I can't see any favoritism... everyone is treated pretty much equally. I mean, you've got to do your job and be stellar at it, and of course you will get recognized!
Cons
It's true that in the past they were having financial difficulties. I've heard they had to ask some employees to hold their checks for a few days. That hasn't happened since I've been here, so Health Genesis has turned things around. We moved from a not-so-great location in Opa Locka, to a nice location in Davie. The owners brought in a new partner who is business and tech savvy and has made a lot of improvements. Vendors and employees are getting paid on time. They've even purchased more machines and are expanding their production capacity. It's true that they don't offer health or dental plans. So we get alternatives. And I have faith that with continued financial success they will be able to offer health and dental in the next one or two years.
