Pros

Excellent job itself, great patients and rewarding work, amazing team of coworkers

Cons

Very poor management, huge turnover in staff due to this, no supervisor replaced when both left. Pay is not commensurate w experience, not competitive pay.

Pros

It's an honor to know you are helping the military service people and their families.

Cons

Not well managed company. Management is weak. Raises are pathetic if it's a year they are giving raises. Some years raises are skipped.

Pros

Lots of interesting work, they are very good at providing services under the TRICARE program. This is an unusual health care environment because HNFS provides health care services for military dependents and government agencies rather than the typical commercial health plans. Pay and benefits are competitive. Of course, your experiences may vary depending on the department you are in.

Cons

They are about to begin the process to re-bid their main contract. The competition will be brutal and cost will be a major challenge for them. If they do not win the contract then there will be mass layoffs and lots of repercussions. HNFS is just one part of the Health Net corporation but the commercial business lines are not very profitable so they are under a fair amount of pressure to show profit.
