I really enjoy working for HQY the last one year been good. So far I have supportive team members and amazing supervisor. I am on Misty team she is amazing and definitely goes above and beyond to help me if I have Questions or need to learn more about something. I do feel a lot of support. You show up to work and do your job everything will be okay. I do enjoy that am home so that's always nice especially as a busy wife and mother. I have help at home but it's nice to see my baby during my lunch break that is definitely a bonus

Cons

The shift bid process is not easy. It would be nice to have both days of the weekends off but it's not too bad sometimes. Peak season can be overwhelming but when we have everyone working together it balances a lil. I haven't heard anything about pay increase after a year so hopefully that does happen soon I been doing an amazing job on everything I am asked to do and also all requirements so will see.

Archaic tech with a splash of bad management

The company stock bonus program is good!

Cons

Stock bonus is future money with constant layoffs this can be pie in the sky. The technology stack is archaic, never seen something like this. Most devs have absolutely no idea how to solve problems rather defer to patches and bandaids. A lot of yelling and scrambling in team meetings, non developers are out touch and ignorant to the plight of the devs While they boast about purple culture, in all honesty the engagement is pretty mediocre and it's difficult to contrast your work with others as everyone tries to act like they do actual work when really a couple of people do all the heavy lifting.

That transformation has unfortunately necessitated reductions in force in our Technology Department that helped us realign our skill strategy with our future-state vision.

I’ve worked with a lot of amazing, passionate people at this job. Mentoring skip level employees is encouraged and if you are an hard worker who takes initiative you can move up the ranks with or without a degree.

Cons

HealthEquity works on a performance based annual raise system. Raises are only available when changing positions or during the annual review period, and even the merit increases are seldom close to COL increases.
