Pros

Potential good income based on increasing need for individual health, life and other insurances and continued changing marketplace highlights value of using agent. No direct competitor to HM? Advanced web-portal with many features. Plenty of well versed speakers during initial training that provide guidance and speakers text, including representatives from different insurance companies. Lengthy speakers scripts available for multiple scenarios

Cons

Marketplace is very cyclical and most sales is done during open enrollment period, November 1 to January the following year). Almost no product training during initial training, or later. No practical training with regards to how to use the advanced web-portal or individual insurance companies web portals leading to long processing of each opportunity. No consistence with regards to how the web-portal is organized, e.g. where to find different items and limited online training available. Each agents /brokers sales (production) per week is only monitored based on sold life and supplemental insurances sold meaning that sales of health insurances not is prioritized - Too many times reply "do not worry" from sales leaders when raising question about details leading to delayed learning and opportunity for mistakes. A number of fees to be paid by the agent required as part of the onboarding but no one was able to provide total list & budget prior to starting the process. No proactive support from sales leader after initial training.
