Pros

The support you receive from technology, training, and leads sets the industry standard. Most successful agents have been around the organization for 10, 20, 30, and even 40 years. People only stay with an organization for that long if they happy and making good money which a lot people are doing both HealthMarkets.

Cons

It is a commission only sales position so if you aren't self motivated you are going to struggle.

Pros

HealthMarkets is a national agency with 3000 agents in all states. It is led by some of the smartest leaders and agents I've ever worked with who are also nice, fun and good looking! HealthMarkets gives us state of the art technology, a robust lead system and training to get us off to a great start. Agents are rewarded with generous commissions, bonuses, trips and rewards. We are on 100% commission which may be terrifying at first, but once you crack the code, you'll never seek a pay check again by working for "the man". It takes time to be successful, but like anything else that's worth it, trust yourself, trust the process and pull out your inner Nike- Just Do It! HealthMarkets has changed my life in ways I never imagined. On top of that, we help people find affordable health insurance solutions that fits their very unique needs and budget. We ask questions to be sure we are setting your family up for success should the unthinkable happen-sicknesses, accidents and premature death. We have lifelong relationships with our clients and are here to help you every step of the way. If you have confidence in your ability to grasp complicated concepts, the grit to get through the hard days (and there are lots of them), the compassion to help people often at the worst moments in their life, then become an agent at HealthMarkets. You will never look back.

Cons

HealthMarkets was acquired by United Health Care a few years ago, and as such has become more "corporate". Training and onboarding can be slow and tedious. All marketing items need to be approved by corporate which takes 2 months so planning ahead is critical.
