Pros

Company truly cares about employees, real D&I progress and commitment (not just lip-service), clear organization and ability to have real impact, great teams where people are kind and professional. The most women-friendly and gender diversity friendly tech company I have worked in. Great product and huge discounts on mealkit boxes.

Cons

Salaries are a bit less competitive than FAANG, presumably due to being mostly in the physical product industry. Tech talent in Berlin (where a lot of the tech teams are based) seems to be a bit behind US talent in general, less experience with cutting edge technologies and less developed skillsets, HelloFresh operated mostly like a startup for the past 10 years with quick solutions and they’re transitioning to investing in better tech infrastructure and a longer view which is a bit overdue.

Don’t Fall For the Benefits

Good health insurance. Decent salary. Lots of parties and opportunities for free alcohol

Cons

The culture is VERY white washed and the policies in place do not exist to support diversity, equity, and inclusion. Leadership is horrible and they ignore high turnover rate. Management is abusive and their idea of diversity is how many different white women are in leadership positions.
