Rick Hendrick is hands-down one of the best leaders I’ve ever worked for. His vision, integrity, and genuine care for employees make a huge difference throughout the entire organization. All sorts of cool fringe benefits, Healthcare costs are manageable. A fantastic career for median talent.

Cons

Top performers will absolutely find better compensation elsewhere. They expect you to take less per hour because of the fringe benefits, but that doesn't pay the bills. Won multiple nationl automotive awards during my tenure and even then, never felt valued...just another number.

I have worked for Hendrick Automotive Group for 13 years and still enjoy coming to work every day and hope to retire from here. There are many many team members here with 20, 25, 30, 35+ years of service which tells you that we mean it when we say "People are the company's most important asset." Hendrick University (HU) is one of the best aspects of the company. HU provides training throughout all levels of the organization which tells you we invest in our people. HU supports you meeting your personal and professional goals at the same time supporting the goals of the organization. We offer Technician apprenticeships in addition to paid training, tuition reimbursement, and tool vouchers. We offer comprehensive and affordable benefits. If you are career oriented, hard working, live with integrity, customer focused, and a servant leader, you will be successful here. The opportunities are really endless - the sky is the limit.

Cons

The 401(k) match could be more robust to be competitive with other organizations. The company has made a number of improvements in our Paid Time Off plans over the last 13 years but would encourage Paid Time Off plans to be reviewed annually and continue these improvements to attract and retain great talent.
