Pros

The pay is OK. The medical benefits and wellness program are too.

Cons

Career advancement is difficult at best. Training is non-existent. There is an utter lack of leadership, and direction. I can see little rhyme or reason to titles and job responsibilities for each title. Job descriptions, where they exist, bear little or no resemblance to actual duties. In my 20+ year career I have never worked with a company more resistant to change. Business processes are inefficient in the extreme, with very little value added. The only change that seems to be allowed actually make the processes more cumbersome and ineffective. Employees are discouraged from thinking outside the box, and in many instances discouraged from thinking at all.

Pros

Interesting work. Shop personnel were great to work with

Cons

Social skills of the people I worked with was so poor that it made working there difficult. Was given conflicting instruction that ultimately led to my termination. I was instructed to make changes and then at the last minute change it back which caused the project to be delayed. I strongly advise not taking an assignment here unless you absolutely have to. If you do work there, stay as anonymous as possible. Avoid interaction with the office personnel whenever possible. The most important advice I can give is continue actively looking for work and take the first thing that comes along just to get out of Hendrickson Joliet as quickly as possible
