Pros

stable company. knowledgable employees.

Cons

extreme favoritism. I was on both sides of the favoritism. When favored I could do no wrong, when not favored I could not do anything right! certain hourly employees have way too much say and run things more than the supervisors. but as a management employee, it is a good place to "disappear", if you wanna just come in and do ur job and go home everyday, it can be great. but if you wanna change things, LOOK OUT!

Pros

Decent sized company where It's hard to get fired. They post most internal job openings. They have a great education assistance program. Claim to have an open door policy. Offer 401k match. Longevity is common.

Cons

Atmosphere is like high school. The "click" crowd has all the power and the good positions are given to people who are in the click and pre-approved to have them. If your personality does not fit you will not be invited into the click and have an "equal and fair" chance for career advancement. Job assessments and goals are completely useless and the biggest joke of the company. Raises are not based on those assessments as they are supposed to be, but rather determined by how the boss wants to dish out the available raise money. I've personally seen someone with half the score of a co-worker get double the raise. 401k match is not consistent. Open door policy is not enforced. When managers get skipped over on issues they are allowed to put the person in the dog house.
